If you love baseball, you’ll love 60 from the ‘60s.

Great pitchers? No decade ever produced a better crop of arms.

The pitchers of the 1960s posted the best combined ERA of any decade since the baseball went lively. In 60 from the ‘60s, you’ll relive the exploits of some of the best hurlers ever to toe the pitching rubber:

*Sandy Koufax, who won 97 games from 1963 to 1966 while leading the major leagues in ERA each of those years.

*Bob Gibson, who won 20 games or more 4 times during the 1960s and posted the lowest single-season ERA in the modern era.

*Jim Bunning, the first major league pitcher to win 100 or more games in both major leagues.

*Whitey Ford, the Yankee Hall of Famer who saved his best years for the 1960s.

*Even hapless Roger Craig, who had the misfortune of being the best pitcher on the worst team in baseball history.

54 Cain Drive (North Service Road of the Long Island Expressway) in Brentwood

Baseball Bargains originated as a catalog company in 2001. In the fall of 2002 our website was launched. Since then the management at Baseball Bargains has continually updated the e-commerce site to incorporate new advanced designs and visitor navigation tools. With its enhanced website, Baseball Bargains looks to facilitate hassle-free navigation and make it easier for visitors to find and pay for the items they are looking to buy. The BaseballBargains.com website accomplished this goal by creating web pages that work in intuitive and consistent ways. In addition, with the establishment of a Customer Login page, shoppers have the ability to view their order history.

At the demand of ballplayers and coaches around Long Island, Baseball Bargains opened up a showroom at 54 Cain Drive (North Service Road of the Long Island Expressway) in Brentwood, NY. The showroom features over 1,000 bats and over 300 glove models on display, and it stocks everything anyone could possibly need to play the game. Products include everything from baseball bats, baseball gloves and catcher’s equipment to training aids, apparel and footwear to belts, socks and other accessories.

With the launch of our new website and the opening of our showroom, this is obviously a very exciting time at Baseball Bargains. It is our goal to continue to find ways to offer our customers the most enjoyable online and offline shopping experience possible for America’s Pastime.

Now You Can Finally Coach Like You Expect to Coach, Like your Players Expect You to Coach!

You Will Excel in Every Aspect of Coaching
(Or you will excel in every aspect of baseball as an individual player)

    * Your team’s batting average will vault to the top of your division. Better hitting teams get runners on base more often, have more opportunities to score, drive in more runs, and ultimately have more fun.
* Your defense will correctly and consistently make the right plays. Better defensive teams keep opposing runners off the bases, perform more double-plays, hold runners in force situations more often, make better throws, and ultimately have more fun.
* You’ll have the most aggressive base running team. Aggressive teams pressure the defense, take advantage of opponent’s weaknesses, score more runs, and ultimately have more fun.
* You’ll have the best pitching team. You know that strong pitching is a major key to success in baseball. You’ll be able to take any kid who can throw hard and have them consistently hitting their spots, keeping even the good hitters off balance, and ultimately having more fun.

Baseball Glove Repair and Restore

Baseball Glove Repair – Why Do It Yourself?

*Getting a new baseball glove can be expensive. This is probably one of the two biggest reasons to repair your glove. Relacing, cleaning and conditioning is cheap compared to buying a new glove and it is not that hard to fix and clean up your glove.

*Breaking in a new baseball glove can take some time and you may not have that time right in the middle of the season. New, expensive gloves with the “real” leather can take a whole off-season to break in.

*Your baseball glove is custom-fit for your hand, you play well with it and you just don’t want to give it up for a new, stiff glove that you’ll have to break in.

Baseball Coaches Need to Read This

Dear Coach,
Are you spending more time in your office than the ball-field?
Overloaded with the administrative side of coaching your baseball team?
Finding yourself stuck at your computer trying to create and organize your season and practices?
Wish you had more computer savvy to develop your: daily plans, contact lists, pitch count spreadsheets, etc…?

These spreadsheets will make you look like coaching is your job!

Remember how BIG TIME you thought your coach was the first time he posted a practice plan on the dugout wall? It was probably hand written in ink and on yellow lined paper, but it still gave you the confidence as a player that he or she knew what they were talking about. Imagine a template you can insert your team name, logo and daily objectives onto. This package gives you the confidence and appreciation you deserve. These spreadsheets look professional because they ARE professional.
The time for computer savvy coaches having an edge in spreadsheet organization in over!

In 1912, Christy Mathewson, the legendary Hall of Fame pitcher for the New York Giants, was asked to put out a by-mail baseball pitching course titled Pitching In A Pinch or Baseball From The Inside about his insights on the game of baseball from a major league pitcher’s perspective.

This fascinating material, divided into 13 pitching lessons, is a literal gold mine of information on baseball pitching. It includes rare strategies and tactics, practice methods and training tips, the mental game and more! Lesson VI is even titled, Coaching – Good And Bad.
